Tofu Kabab

Kababs are my all time favourite snack and I’ve prepared many kinds but thought of being more healthy than usual and do with tofu. I thought of steaming rather than frying or grilling. This is the first time I steamed and it turned out heavenly. I feel this is the most healthy of enjoying Kababs. Here goes the recipe

Serves – 2 people

Preparation time -7 mins, Cooking time-10 mins


150 gms tofu

2 Tbsp Bajra flour

2 Tbsp methi leaves

2 Tbsp besan

1 Tbsp Whole wheat flour

1 lime juice

2-3 green chillies chopped fine

2 Tbsp sesame seeds

Salt as per taste

1/2 tsp oil

Water as per need


Grate the tofu and set aside. In a bowl add the grated tofu, add Bajra Flour, Methi leaves, Besan, Whole wheat flour, lime juice, chopped green chillies, salt and mix well. Add little oil and water to make a dough. Make balls and flatten them. Dip them into sesame seeds and steam for 6 mins on one side and 4 min on another side. Enjoy with tea and any dip. I enjoyed with tea
