Sabudana Vada / Tapioca Fritters

Sabudana or Tapioca is used in varied forms in India. Whether savouries it’s in desserts Sabudana is like by many people. I wanted to try Sabudana and thought of starting with fritters as that’s one of my favourite food to enjoy with tea or coffee. Recipe as follows 😊

Course – Snack to be had with tea or coffee

Serves -2 people

Difficulty level – Easy

Preparation time -60 mins, Cooking time-20 mins

Ingredients

2 cups soaked Sabudana or Tapioca

1/2 cup peanuts roasted and powdered

1 large sweet potato

1 Tbsp green chilli-ginger paste

2 Tbsp fresh coriander leaves chopped

1 lime juice

Salt as per taste

Oil to fry

Method

Soak Sabudana in a bowl for 1 hour. Boil the sweet potato. Mix the chilli-ginger paste, lime juice, coriander leaves and grated sweet potato to the Sabudana and mix well. Add roasted and powdered peanuts to it. Shape the Sabudana mix into balls and heat oil. Deep fry the Sabudana / Tapioca Pakode / Fritters and set aside. Enjoy with tea or coffee or yogurt dip

Soak Sabudana
Green chilli- ginger paste
Mix the boiled sweet potato, ginger-green chilli paste
Add chopped coriander leaves to it
Add peanuts and make balls
Deep fry
Enjoy 😊
