This is a unique recipe as usually we use the word Keema for minced meat. That minced meat can be of chicken or mutton but to say this is a vegetarian food might sound interesting? Intriguing? Well, it was certainly interesting to me and the result was mouthwatering. Recipe as follows :-

Ingredients
1/2 cup Chana Dal soaked for 2 hours
1/2 cup Beet soaked for 2 hours
1 medium potato
1 medium size capsicum
1 medium size tomato
1 medium size Carrot
1 Tbsp onion paste
1 Tbsp chopped onion
Few sprigs of coriander chopped fine
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 Tbsp oil
4-5 Tbsp ghee
Salt as per taste
Method
Soak Chana Dal and Beetroot separately in two bowls for 2 hours each. In a wok heat oil and ghee and add chopped onion and garlic and fry until brown in colour. Wash and Cut all the vegetables in small sizes. Add the vegetables to the oil. Coarsely blend the Chana Dal and Beetroot and add them to the vegetables. Fry well. Add onion paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and fry well . Add water to boil the vegetables. Add salt, mix. Once cooked and of dry consistency set aside. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with steamed rice
