Mocha or Banana flower is a very tasty ingredient to cook with. There are so many varieties of dishes that can be made from Mocha and one of them is chop which is my favourite. It can be enjoyed as a tea time snack or just on its own

Ingredients
1 cup mocha boiled
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup Muri
1/4 cup Chire
1 egg
3-4 medium size potatoes boiled and mashed
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
Pinch of asafoetida
Ghee and oil to cook
Salt as per taste
Method
Boil potatoes, cook and mash. Boil the Mocha by adding a little turmeric powder and salt to it after cleaning. Set aside once boiled. Make a powder of Muri and fry Chire in hot oil and make a powder. In a wok heat oil and ghee and add cumin seeds, whole garam masala, asafoetida and stir. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger paste, salt and stir well. Add yoghurt and stir. Add boiled mocha and cook well. Set aside to cool. Beat the egg and make balls from the mash potato. Make a indent and add little of the Mocha and make a patty. Dip in the egg and smear in Muri powder and then Chire powder. In a wok heat oil and fry the Chops. Enjoy hot
