Cinnamon Roll

This Cinnamon Roll that I made is with no yeast and no baking. Since the last few days I was thinking on making Cinnamon Roll and the oven is not in a working condition so I came up with this idea to make Cinnamon Roll. It was mouthwatering to taste.

Course – Dessert

Cuisine – Sweden

Author – Madhu’s Kitchen

Serves -2 people

Difficulty level – Easy

Preparation time -1 hour, Cooking time -25 mins

Ingredients

1 cup Maida

3/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

Salt as per taste

1/4 cup Milk

1 tsp vinegar

2.5 Tbsp butter plus more

2 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp butter

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Method

In a bowl add Maida, baking soda, baking powder, salt and mix well. In another bowl add milk, vinegar and rest for 10 mins. Mix the liquid to the Maida and add melted butter. Make a soft dough and let it rest for 10 mins. Knead again. In another bowl add brown sugar, butter and cinnamon powder, make a paste. Set aside. Meanwhile in a saucepan add 2 cups salt, a plate which should be 1/4” above and cover to Pre heat in low flame for 13 mins. Meanwhile make a flat Roti with a rolling pin having 1/2cm thickness. Try to make it rectangular in shape. Apply the brown sugar paste equally and smoothly all across and make a book like fold. Make six divisions. Cut and make further divisions but not all through so that a braid can be made. In the Pre heat lift the covet and on a paper plate place the braid in cups and allow to bake on low flame for 20 mins. After 20 mins it would be a little brown in colour. Set aside and brush with melted butter. Enjoy on its own or with any beverage
