Spicy Peanut Rice Cake

Chinese food is so varied and I love the Indianised versions a lot. I’m so used to it that I’ve fallen in love. Today I made Spicy Peanut Rice Cake, the best thing is Peanut is chopped to coat and the spice is from red chilli sauce #foodie #thekolkatabuzz #MadhusKitchen #Chinese

Serves -2 people

Preparation time -10 mins, Cooking time -15 mins

Ingredients

1/2 cup long grain rice

2 Tbsp red chilli sauce

1/2 cup chopped peanuts

1” ginger chopped fine

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 Tbsp fish sauce

Oil

Salt as per taste

Method

In a bowl heat water and add rice. Prepare 2/3 rd and drain and set aside. In a mortar & pestle or blender blend turmeric powder, red chilli sauce, fish sauce, salt and blend. Add 2 Tbsp of rice and blend to make it smooth and sticky. Mix the whole thing with the rest of the rice. Set aside. Coat them with chopped peanuts. In a wok heat oil and fry the rice balls in batches. Enjoy
