Green Dal Fry

In India and specially in North India having Dal Fry with Roti or Roti & Rice is quite common. The consistency of the Dal is thick and the Panch Phoron alongwith Asafoetida, whole red chilli on top is what gives the Dal a distinctive taste. I love Dal Fry and have had it many times but making a Green one was the fun part. I used grated coconut with coriander leaves and the Green Dal was exceptional to taste
