Ingredients
1 cup Karele deseeded
1/2 cup tamarind soaked in lukewarm water
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 Tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 green chillies slit
1 medium onion chopped fine
Oil
Salt as per taste
Method
Deseed the Karele and smear with turmeric powder for 10 mins. In a wok heat oil and add ginger-garlic paste. Stir. Add chopped onions and add turmeric and red chilli powder, cumin seeds, cumin powder and coriander powder. Stir all masala very well. Add the Karele and stir well. Add coconut milk and stir well. Add salt. At this point add the tamarind soaked water and on low flame cook the Karele for 10 mins. Enjoy with rice 😊
