Creamy walnut & mushrooms on toast

Walnut is an universal ingredient that’s most nutritious amongst various dry fruits that we have in the world. One should include walnuts in ones diet everyday. I chose to make creamy walnut & mushrooms on toast. It was healthy, filling and walnut when creamed was yumm. Pls do try #MadhubishsKitchen #foodie #foodies

Serves – 1 person


1 cup mushroom sliced

1 cup walnuts chopped

2-3 garlic cloves crushed

1” ginger chopped

1/4 cup shallots sliced

Black pepper powder

1 Tbsp avocado oil

1 lime juice

1/4 cup water

Salt as per taste


In a wok heat avocado oil, add crushed garlic, chopped ginger, shallots and cook for 2-3 mins. Add chopped walnuts and cook till brown. Add salt and pepper and stir. Set aside half of the walnut mix and add to a blender. Add lime juice, 1/4 cup water and blend smooth to cream. Set aside. To give rest of the mix add sliced mushrooms and add rest of salt, black pepper powder and cook covered on low flame for 8 mins to soften the mushroom. Set aside. Smear oil to baguettes and on a tawa cook till a little brown. Set aside. Add the creamy walnuts first, mushrooms on top and enjoy
