Kachche Aam ka Pulao/ Mango Rice

When Mango is in season, enjoying the fruit in its varied forms is the call of the day whether Raw or Ripe. I made Mango Rice which is universal cuisine from South India and which I love a lot. Simple, filling and heavenly to taste #MadhubishsKitchen #Mango Rice

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-25 mins

Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice

1/2 cup grated Raw Mango

1 Tbsp Urad Dal

1 Tbsp Chana Dal

1 tsp mustard seeds

Pinch of Hing

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Sprigs of curry leaves

3 Tbsp Sesame oil

1 Tbsp groundnuts

Salt

Method

Cook rice, strain and set aside. Wash, peel, grate raw mango and set aside. In a wok heat oil, add mustard seeds. When it’s splutters add Chana Dal, Urad Dal, curry leaves, hing and stir for 2 mins. Add Turmeric powder, rice, grated Mango and stir well. Add salt and stir. Add groundnuts and set aside. Serve hot
