Raita or Yogurt base dips are famous in Indian cuisine and all across the country. Raita can be from fruits and vegetables. The food gets a different flavour. Raita’s can be sour or sweet & sour. One can have at the end of the meal or as an accompaniment and food gets a distinctive taste. Today I made Raita with mango and a sweet mango. Taste was mouthwatering and very simple to cook
Preparation time : 10 mins, Cooking time : 5 mins
Serves : 2 persons
Ingredients :
200 gms yoghurt beaten
1 Alphonso mango washed, peeled and cut into small pieces
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1 sprig curry lesves
1/4 tsp black mustard seeds
1 Tbsp mustard oil
Salt as per taste
Method
To the beaten yoghurt add red chilli powder and salt. Add clicked mangoes and stir. In a wok heat mustard oil, add mustard seeds and once it splutters add curry leaves. Switch off the flame. Add the seasoning to the mangoes in yoghurt. Stir and chill. Enjoy with your meal 😊
